PC load letter?
I hear a lot of the lynx cards for digital in and out, is there something that seperates them as far as sound quality from other cards? Do their digital ins/outs sound better than other cards?

The reason I ask is because if I want to upgrade to seperate a/d conversion Ill need a soundcard with digital in and out, right now I only have a motu 24i based on the older pci-324 card, I was thinking about just getting another motu piece, but I dont wanna stick with the pci-324 card, so I'd have to buy the motu with the core system anyway.

The conversion is done for analog signals. The converters are very good on the Lynx cards. I have a Lynx1 but I use the spdif in & out from my j-station and presonus mic pre. You will need gear that has a spdif out to use the digital connects on any card that has em.

I've heard the converters are great, but as far as the quality of the digital ins and outs there shouldnt be any difference between cards?

None that I've ever noticed.

If all you need is digital, then there are cheaper alternatives. Lynx has great convertors, but why pay for then if you will not use then?
