Hey there.
I want to record the audio from a dvd in to my soundcard. I`ve got a digital coaxial out on the dvd player (can`t get the pc to play dvds) so using seperate dvd player. My sound cards don`t seem to have digital ins except midi. How do I get a digital signal in ? Anybody?

You'd have to have a sound card with S/PDIF coax inputs on it. It comes on two formats. Coax which uses a 75 ohm video type cable terminated ususally with RCA connectors (NOT to be confused with the RCA patch cables you'd use to connect up analog gear like a cassette deck to a tuner) and TOSLINK which is an optical cable and connection.
