Mmmm. I love that warm sound I get when I slam my converters really hard. What a pleasing tone it imparts. I think this is going to be my very own signature sound from now on.

Do you have a particular converter you like to get tone out of? Tell me about it!

Amateurs will swear by their soundblasters, wanna bes will yak it up about their rosettas but anyone with ears knows theres nothing like slamming a dual channel apogee psx-100 for pure clipped tone.

Make sure youre using good cable.

is there any digital clipping plugin available for cubase at the moment...
I know, not as good as real hardware etc etc...but I want to sound just like Chessrock! :D ;)

"...Also, I love digital distortion! It's an effect. Get a little digital distortion on a kick and snare and it's slammin'!"

I see there is a niche... Immediately sitting down and writing an ActiveX vand VST plugin. The coolest thing will be that you can choose the tube and voltage of the pre that came before the digital distortion!! So in fact I'll have two distortions! Isn't that what made mesa boogie famous???
