This is the card I got with the studio equipment that I bought. The guy said he paid $600CAD for it brand new. Just wondering if it's actually a good brand, cause I've never of RME brand before.

I can vouch for RME being a respected brand of soundcard. Have you tried recording through it yet? After all, the proof of the pudding is in the tasting...
