Digi002 to.....?

i recently bought a digi002 rack, but took it back within the 30 days, b/c i realized that i did not need that many outputs. im mainly recording acoustic music with occasionally drums (usually not a full set), and really only need maybe one or two outputs. im looking for a very GOOD QUALITY SOUND that matches the digi002 rack w/ protools setup, but much cheaper (since i don't need that many outputs....or protools) i already have software and mics, just looking for hardware. Thx
 
i guess i made it a little confusing when i said "that matches the digi002 rack w/ protools setup", i am not planning on using protools but ADobe audition. Im just looking for a NONPRoTOOls setup. that matches the sound of digi002 setup, but less outputs and cheaper.

however, the 002/r or Mbox/2 all work with other programs too. They just happen to include software with it.
 
why wouldnt you want ProTools? hehe.

i love my digi002 rack. i would rather have the option of many outputs because you never know what you're going to be doing in the future. maybe ill decide to have a crazy hardware rack with outboard gear.

it really is a great unit though.
