Digi OO2 and XP

Hey all! I've got a friend who has a PC with 512 DDRRam, 75 GB HD, P4 2.4 Ghz on an ASUS P4PE-X board. His OS is XP. He wants the Digi 002, but he read that to use the Digi OO2 with XP, you need to have a Service Pack 1 included. He got this info from the Digi website. What is that? Where do you get it? I e-mailed Digi for him but they've yet to reply. That was about 4 days ago. Any help will be most appreciated.
 
Click on update in the XP menu. This will direct you to the microsoft website. It will scan the system for needed updates. Install the critical updates (SP1). Archive the files in case it causes a problem.
