So, What do you all think of the New Mbox....???
I hear it's gonna be about $499 US
Here's a snippet from the the Digi site for those of you who are not familiar with the unit....
The express purpose of Mbox is to make Pro Tools available to you as readily and effortlessly as possible. With Mbox, you can literally create a functional, effective studio environment in as much time as it takes to plug in your gear, boot up your laptop or desktop computer, and launch Pro Tools.
Capture inspiration at its freshest in a plane, train, automobile or home, and then craft the results into a finished product - or migrate your session to another Pro Tools platform, from Digi 001® to Pro Tools|HD. Whatever direction you choose, you benefit from a very affordable, reliable and tightly packed piece of Pro Tools gear.
Mbox works in tandem with Pro Tools 5.2 LE software to provide you with a high-quality, self-contained project studio. Features include: two analog inputs and outputs, featuring Focusrite mic pre amps; 24-bit stereo S/PDIF digital I/O; a pristine 24-bit signal path from input to output; two analog TRS inserts; a headphone amp and output with dedicated volume control; zero latency monitoring; 100% USB-powered operation; and remote collaboration capability through DigiStudio.
