Anyone use this yet? I'm thinking of purchasing one. Trying to figure out if it's a good buy.

"Good buy" depends on the price, but it's good gear. You can save yourself bucks by buying a crappy (inoperative, even) Digi001 for about $100 and "trading" it for a new 003. Check DigiDesign's website for the skinny.

i think the price of 003s is still falling from the PT9 release also.
I tried to sell mine for just over a month before i got a bite at a ridiculously low price.
although i had no problem with digi gear, i've always felt that there is better stuff available for cheaper.
The only reason (IMO) that someone would buy digi gear, is to use PT7 or PT8.
If that's the case, i'd recommend buying PT9 and looking at different interfaces/controls.

I think Digidesign has realized they have ridden that "you gotta buy our interface if you wanna use ProTools" about as long as it's gonna carry them.

to be honest, i'm not really in a position to recommend because i haven't replaced my digi yet.
I'm currently shopping for converters because i have 12 channels of analogue preamps, so i guess echo audiofire 12 or similar, but that's just me.
