does anyone know of a website that gives a good outline of the different types of power tubes and their characteristics? (tones, sounds, etc etc)

ultimately you can't really tell what it's going to do in your circuit.... just go to GC or similar and play a couple different ones of some model they're pushing for christmas and tell me how they sound so similar.... yeah right...

you'll have to register..
a ton of engineers and amp modders in there that have tried every type and brand..
just be clear about what you want to know.. and say as much as possible about what sound you want to have.. so they don't have to ask stuff over and over.
