Hey folks,

The person that I'm doing the recording for just called me and asked me about making a sound track of the songs that we just recorded for him. I'm still in the mixing phase of his album, and now he wants me to make one cd of the songs into a sound track so he could have with him to sing along with. is there a whole lot of things to do to a sound track or just go back into the premix of the songs and take out his voice? Anyone elaborate on this?

If he's just looking for backing tracks, then yeah, just dump the vocal -

Ask if he wants any background vocal tracks and harmonies left in.

If it's for live use, make sure it's mono-compatible.
