Is there a noticeable difference between the two?

I currently have a 40gig 2mb Seagate (OS) and a 60gig 2mb Maxtor (files) in my pc.
There's a sale for a 80gig 8mb Seagate for $49 after rebates.
Would it be worth it?
My system specs:

P4 2.4(533)
1 gig RDRAM
ASUS P4T533-C mobo
Windows XP Pro
Sonar 2XL

Thanks.

The extra cache probably doesn't make a big difference in audio applications where you're typically reading/writing large volumes of data sequentially. It's more useful in applications that repeatedly access the same data in a more random fashion.

Still sound like a good deal though. You can never have too much disk space
