I was trying to record some vocals to my PC. First I connected the mic to the POD XTL input but it was giving a lot of noise, so I then I connected the mic directly to my guitar amp input (Kustom Quad 65 FX).
Then I tried connecting the "Speaker Out" ("this will disconnect the internal speaker and allow an external speaker cabinet to be employed, rating 8 ohms) directly to the Lien in input of my PC.
I saw some sparks coming out from the 1/4 to 1/8 adapter I had between the "speaker out" and my PC.
Now it seems that my PC does not recognize any sound card besides the POD XTL.
Did I just burned my sound card??
Do i need to buy a new one?
Where can i find info about sound cards if i need to buy one?
Help will be greatly appreciated...
