I've been shopping for my first MIDI controller and just picked up a M-Audio Radium 61 on E-Bay, 1 month old, all original manuals, boxes, etc. for 135usd plus 15.00 S&H.

Did I do good?

Will I regret it in 6mos?

I have used M-audio products in the past with no regrets.
I have not tried one of those but its probably a good unit....although some software may limit its full potential.

yeah, VTgreen.

that deal was sweet. I bought a new one from GC with an employee discount and it was around that price.

That was about a year ago and I still love mine. The only thing to be wary of is mine has proved to be a gateway board to buying other things like softsynths... ;)

Point well taken, I'll be using whatever i have available in cakewalk home studio XL and freware til i lean my way around, then I'll be back for suggestions for more "pro" sounds. Mostly I'll be using MIDI for drums, piano and strings, maybe some horns.
