No, I'm not dead. I haven't been back to the forum for a few days though.
Yes, I did go and yes, I got some bargains, though I couldn't stay long as my back went out on me while I was standing in line for an hour (I was #2 in a very long line).
There were fourteen fine-print pages of stuff my GC was liquidating, but I missed a lot because I just had to pack it in and go home. Lots of the really great buys were on gear I didn't have any personal use for.
Only two big steals:
A Fender American "Hot Rodded" Nashville B-Bender Telecaster for $599 (amazing guitar!)...and...
A brand-new Ampeg SVT-350H bass head for $289 because a couple of the plastic EQ faders got the tips broken off.
...and of course, the T-shirt!
