Just read on another post that Aardvark just went under. I ordered their new card Aark Pro-Direct 24/96 (needed the internal pre-amps) in early March from sweetwater.com and it was sent this week. I've written tham about compatability with Athlon (not tested) and Win2000/ Win NT. They answered me each time although their answers were short and a bit incomplete (i.e. I assumed they were NT compatible and mentioned this in an early e-mail. They aren't but didn't correct me, I had to ask this again specifically in another e-mail).

They also told me thay are going to work on drivers for Win2000 in the next few months so I assume they aren't going under or they're not telling anybody.

Does anybody know anymore about this?

Dunno. I'd call Sweetwater and hang onto the line until I got a yes or no.

Guess maybe I need to watch my words a little more. An engineer friend of mine told me that they did. I haven't checked it out which would have been a more responsible thing to do before I posted. He told me on St. Patty's day when we were good and tuned. Still don't know for sure, though> Sorry-lzb

Thanks for the answers, guys. And Lazyboy, don't watch your words. I appreciate hearing about all rumors, unsubstantiated or not. I'd rather hear about a rumor, check it out, and find it's not true than to not hear about it at all.

Since they're aren't many other replies, I'll assume they're still in business (but I'm watching them, thanks to your info)

Appreciatively

Isn't this just sooo typical of what we see everyday with internet companies? I just went out and bought an MP3 program for 30 bucks made by AudioCatalyst. After I bought it, I found out that the same program is available on the net as a free DEMO! That's right, the program they're selling in stores is a DEMO. On top of that, They've been bought out by RealMusic and Real says they're not going to support the product and have no plans for future upgrades or bug fixes. In other words, it looks like they simply wanted to eliminate the competition. They even have a "dummy" forum up on the web for AC, but there doesn't seem to be a forum administrator or anyone from Real who even looks in on it. Most of the posts are by guys who are screeming mad because they got suckered into buying a program that was already absolete before they bought it. They still sell it at the store by the way....

Aardvark is still alive and well. Was speaking with one of their techs today. Can expect new drivers with ASIO2 support and other bug fixes for all cards in the next few weeks.

Thanks Emeric,
Thought they were still alive but nice to get confirmation (and those plans to make millions on the stock market. BTW Eddie N, any relation to S8-N. Kinda miss his brimstone).
