Hey guys. I know I haven't been around in a while so I have four songs for you. The first is a Devo cover.
Mongoloid In this track, I took elements from 4 devo songs. (Mongoloid, I Can't Get No Satisfactoin, Gut Feeling, and Srivel Up) I took a long time to record and produce, so I hope you like it.
Surf TownThis song is from an old Nickelodeon show called Rocket Power. It was in an episode called Beach Boyz and a girl. It was played a few times throughout the show, but it was very short. Maybe 20 to 30 seconds long each time. Then one time when I was watching it, I noticed that each clip had different lyrics so I sat down and tried to make them out for about 30 minutes, wrote them on a pad a recorded them into a longer song. (Being that I always liked it) An interesting side note is that Mark Mothersbaugh also did the theme song for that show.
The Odd Way You hurt Me This is an original song I did a few weeks back. It's bpretty much a song about what would happen if somebody tried to beat up Superman except with different more down to earth (no pun intended) characters. In this case, a bully and a wimp.
The Streets/Going Back The is actually two songs in one. The first called "The Streets" is just an electric piano solo that I played over a field recording of nightcrawlers. It was going to be a segway into another track on a home-made album at some point in the future and is very short. I wanted to let you guys hear it, but I didn't want to upload such a short song by itself so I added it in with the next song which is Going Back. With that song I wanted to write a very mellow song which I hadn't done in a while. It started out and mostly ended as a song full of contradictions.
Also, due to a hard drive error (my dropping it) I lost the multitracks and most of the Wav. files for the first 3 songs (which pisses me off to no end) so I can't really take any mix advise for those. I wish I could. I put them up anyway because I wanted to know what you guys thought. I hope you like them, and if you decide to thank you for taking the time to read through all of this and listen to my songs.
-Adam.
