Desk Lamps

I’m looking for desk lamps for my home studio. I realize that fluorescent lighting is a problem but is halogen ok? Would appreciate your suggestions on sources, bulbs and styles.

Yo RPE:

Punch up Verilux lamps on the net and take a look. I have two of them; one is a table model style with a neck that will bend -- has an interesting lighting source -- it's not fluorescent and gives a nice clean light.

Just an idea as there are tons of desk lamps out there.
