What kind of software do people use to design CD covers?

Thanks!

I think most people use Neato. I also heard of people using Pyro.

if you're going to be having your cd pressed, check with the place its being made.

if you have a MAC - use Quark.

PC - photoshop - .tif files.......or some places will take pagemaker.

Dave sez...

I use Adaptec Easy CD Creator 3.5, and it has a cd cover and label design section.

I used that on my cd project, THE DAVEMANIA COLLECTION, and it has minimal text and graphics, check it out, still available free. 7/24/01 DA

Adaptec Easy CD Creator is a cool, easy program, and I design all my cd layouts, both songlists and cover art, on it.

"Easy" is in the title.

You can also use most publisher programs too, especially if your CD cover becomes more of a booklet.

Have fun!

I would probably use Photoshop and PageMaker. Nothing else will cut it for me...but if you wanna go cheap, try the program that comes with Nero - burning ROM or a similar product.

Donde' esta Adaptec?

Where would I find this Adaptec 3.5 program, so I can check it out all free-like?

Adaptec has a website, and I think it's www.adaptec.com

Adaptec "Easy CD Creator" software can be purchased over the counter, from places like FRYs, CIRCUIT CITY, and BEST BUY, and probably also AMAZON.COM too.

Adaptec has a few other related software titles, like CD Copier Deluxe, etc.

I just quoted "3.5", because that's the version I have. I think current software versions are 4.0 or 4.5 by now.

Go to www.adaptec.com , I think you can download it, too.
