No Problem CYAN

Hey Cyan

If your pc does what you want it to do, then great. My Mac does what I want it to do. That makes us two happy people, you with a cheap machine and me with an expensive one. ;)

Really, they're both just machines. Ultimately, it's how you use these machines that counts, and whether the music made is good or ...

Peace

Albert

I love my PC. It's my friend.:D

But the last couple of years I have felt like I'm chasing Techno-Phantom!

P166 w/EDO wasn't fast enough.
2.1Gb wasn't big enough.
SB AWE64...outta the question.
Then Pll333 w/BX and PC100 wasn't fast enough.
Then 8.4 Gb 5400rpm wasn't fast enough either.
Soundblaster Live wasn't clean enough.
Now...Athalon is fast enough, but does chipset match soundcard?
If 60 Gb aint big enough, I quit!
Darla24 isn't versatile enough (discontinued to boot!).
7200rpm is faster than 5400rpm. But.....Let's see....does this mobo do ATA100? Oh good. O.K..
Got to get some PC133. (256mb for $28 at Hiwaymemory@aol.com). Not bad! I bought two.

I'm not really complaining. Upgrading is fun. Now, if I could just decide on a replacement for my Darla.....
I'm waitn' on the "Tubedude Tip of the Day" for that one!

first off let me say that i am not what i consider a "Experianced" engineer. I started with a 4 track porta studio about 5 years ago. About 2 years ago i bought the roland vs880ex and now i want to step up to a Profesional studio. My uncle is a "Experianced" engineer with over 27 years of experiance. He works at Apache Studios in Colorado Springs whitch is one of the studios i called. I was told that a P.C would work and would be nice if i was on a budget but if i had the money to go with a mac. I appriciate and value everyones opinion on this subject and i thank ALL of you for the help but trust me i would not blow almost $4000 on a peice of equipment simply on the word of someonewho i know nothing about. T.J Hooker has been very helpfull as all of you have been and i just hope to one day have half the knowledge about this subject as most of you do. I will be a regular poster on this board from now on and i thank god i found it. Now on to my next question. Why two computer monitors in a studio setup?

Have you hugged your MAC today?

Nope, but I lit a candle for yours. I tried to buy the world a Coke, too, but I don't think they'll ship til monday.

SEUrecords, you could use two monitors

to view two or more windows from you DAW simultaeously. For e.g., the Tracking Window and the Mixer Window.
