any recommendations for good deplosive plugins? I have vocal strip for my duende but it just doesn't do it for me.

Removing plosives is one of few actually reasonable purposes for a maul-the-band compressor.

Haha I think he means "Multi-band compressor" if you didn't catch that. The best thing to do would be to rerecord the vocals with a pop screen. If you don't have one, a sock stretched over a wire coat hanger will work fine.

lol. The maul-the-band did throw me off. Its a session I got to mix and is full of plosives. If I recorded it there wouldn't be any. I ended up using my sonnox suprEsser.

reminds me of a funny moment long ago. My buddy cut up one of his shirts for a pop screen. Didn't bother to tell me he took it out of the clothes hamper..so use a clean sock..just saying

lol, my friend put a sock over the mic. I was like WTF is that suppose to do. you don't have $20 for a pop filter!

Apply a high-pass filter just to the plosive spots, set to around 2k.

Would add 'automation edits -if there wern't too many but...

Uh, I dunno, maybe teach the singer proper mic technique??
