demo/ home recording trade resource?

howdy,
anyone know of a website resource set up for the nonprofit trading of home recordings and/ or band demos among musicians? i'm not interested in downloading songs or trading recordings of professional artists. does anything like this exist?
if not, what can we do to get one running? does it sound like a good idea?
