I had heard that the M-Audio Delta 66 card had tremendous quality Converters. Now I'm begining to hear that the 1010's are better. I originally wanted to go with the 66 (right now, the ol' machine has no sound...ripped out an SB Live!, replaced it with a Korg OASYS PCI, ripped that out, etc.), but I am concerned with clicks & pops (with the 66.) Running CWPA9; & want to stay with the approach that MIDI & audio stay separate, which is why I am looking for a card with pro quality conversion (& then later I can add a Roland JV-1010 for great MIDI sounds.) Thanks.

I'd be surprised if the converters on the 66 and 1010 were different. As far as clicks and pops go, that's got more to do with your processor speed than your audio hardware, even a soundblaster will rarely have clicks and pops at fairly low latencies on a fast machine...

the Delta 66 converters are VERY GOOD.....the 1010's are a tad better........

the delta1010 does have better converters than the delta66
