Can anyone help me.

Here is the problem...

I have been using my delta 66 for 3 years with no problem. I recently bought two KRK RP8 monitors and a Eurotrack mixer. The problem is, no sound is coming out of the speakers. With my old speakers I used the break out box and split the mono signal. With these new speakers I am trying to connect them to the RCA's in the soundcard to the mixer and then the mixer to the speakers.

1) I know the speakers work because I tested them.
2) I know the RCA's work because I tested them also and they are brand new
3) I know its not the mixer because I can see it getting signal when I connect it through the breakout box.

So I figure the RCA connection in my soundcard isn't properly working.
I even disconected the breakout box to see if it was causing a conflict, but it still didn't work. If anyone has any suggestions I would be happy to entertain them, I've been at it for two days with no results. Thanks alot

The Delta 66 has 1/4 ins and outs. What RCAs are you talking about?

You're not trying to connect to the s/pdif jacks on the 66 are you? That's not rca.

Use 2 of the 1/4" outputs from the 66 and get 2 1/4"-rca converter jacks to get into your mixer

Ok so I'm an idiot but its still not fixed

OK I'm an idiot and I followed your advice and my problem is still not solved.

So I bought the RCA to 1/4 adapters and hooked it up to my mixer. Now I am only getting sound in one speaker. The sound is in Mono, how do I get it in Stereo. Once again I have a Delta 66 and a Behringer Eurorack mixer.

I can see the signal going to the mixer but it must be in Mono because it is only coming out of one speaker. Do I need a spilitter?

Ther Delta 66 has four mono 1/4" line outs. Send your left and right outputs from whatever software you are using to either Outs 1 & 2 or 3 & 4.

What exactly are you plugging in to what? 1/4" cables to the Delta > adapter > RCA plug > mixer? What kind of cables?

What I am doing

I have to RCA's coming from my behringer mixer. I bought 1/4 adapters and I plugged them into out 1 and 2. I even tried a 1/4 splitter from out 1 but its still in Mono. Any suggestions.

Remember Occam's Razor: it's likely to be a simple problem. Do the obvious stuff like checking power cords, on switches and all the embarrassing stuff. It could be as simple as plugging the RCAs into one Tape In and one Tape Out jack by mistake. (This from one who learned about the TV / VCR switch only a year ago, just in time to tell the cable TV guy not to come out after all as we had resolved a "technical issue on our end").

Are you using 1/4 " TS cables or TRS? TS cables have a Tip and Sleeve conducter. TRS have a Tip, Ring and Sleeve. TRS look like regular headphone cables. You might be running into a weird routing problem if you are mixing TRS and TS cables here. Why not start with something real simple? Use two standard 1/4 " TS cables from the Delta output to one of the mixer stereo channel inputs (or a pair of mono channels). Run the sound right through the mixer and test each channel fader to see what effect it has.

Assuming the mixer is set to pass a separate R/L signal - subs centered and channels panned R and L - if you're getting stereo, then the problem is related to the cable adapter or the RCA jacks in the mixer, or the mixer controls for those jacks.

If you get only one signal or only one hot speaker, try swapping the input cables at the mixer. Does the other speaker fire? If there is no change, check the lines from the mixer to the speakers and so forth. If it seems to be a particular R / L monitor channel, backtrack through the software to see if the signal is getting choked somewhere.

First call up the M-Audio controller and double check the output assignments. Then call up the sequencing or application software and check all of its settings. It may be a cable or connection, or a software switch turned off.

I fixed the problem

After days and days of trouble shooting. I finally figured out what was wrong. Thanks to everyone that helped me. I tried everything I could and tried ever wire I had. I realized that my one of my brand new speakers wasn't working. Of course I took it back to the store to test it and I was right they weren't working. It was getting power but no signal. The people said they had never seen that with the KRK's and they had sold 12 in the last month, they said I was unlucky. So anyway they replaced my one bad speaker and now everything it working fine. Thanks again for all your help.
