delta 66 and AMD...will it work?

I like the Thunderbird...I want the Thunderbird, but I've heard so many conflicting things. Some say it's good, others say nothing but nightmares...I'm trying hard to decide. Also, are there any software conflicts with AMD?

I just got a reply from midiman - they replied within and hour, that is pretty good response time. - Here is their answer.

"Athalon K7's no problems. Some VIA boards need their Flash ROM updated you will need to investigate your boards requirements at
http://www.via.com.tw/drivers/index.htm

We going to test the Athalon Thunder birds and 1.2 GHz next week."

So it looks that things are pretty safe with Athlon / Delta products, but you may want to wait until next week until we see the results of their TBird tests.
 
NO VIA BOARDS!!!
I don't care what they told you, it doesn't work. I went through 3 of them with a P3 even and the delta. Never did work right. Got the Intel815i and its all harmony and peaches now.

I'm unfamiliar with VIA boards. Is it a type of motherboard?
Is that what you mean? I was planning on an ASUS A7V. Or are you still talking about the AMD chips? I want to go AMD so badly but I can't seem to find a simple straight answer anywhere. Thanks for your replies though. I appreciate it.
