Hi,
Im new here I would like to ask if someone knows whether sound card delta 44 needs some additional preamp for recording via microphone or any other instrument(el.guitar)
I got this problem everything is ok with outs but ins are silent although I know my mic and mixer are ok. Also I was trying many different settings on my pc with this card and still I cant hear mic ...
Please help me on that one I would very much appreciate it :)
Thank you :)

You do need preamps for sources that aren't line level. What mixer do you have and how is it connected? The mixer should have the preamps you need for mics. It may or may not be adequate for instruments depending on the mixer and the instrument.

Do you have the right drivers loaded for the Delta 44? If so you should be able to select its inputs as the recording sources in your DAW.

Hi, thank you for your reply :) I got mixer called Phonic MM1002s I bought it more than 10 years ago because I needed adaptor for my mic Behringer B-2 which is built in. Funny thing is a few weeks ago I've tested this card and managed to record electric guitar through one of ins and it worked but one channel was silent and another had very low volume but there was a sound atleast but now when I bought those separeted mono jacks with stereo out little jack for this Phonic mixer - there is nothig - silence. So I was wandering whether this card react only with particular "something" between in and mic or any guitar effect or it can go without "middleman" device whatever that would be ? Im not sure about right drivers cuz I didnt install it - my friend who built whole pc did it and it seems to work - I can hear the sound but I can't get mic to be heard through the card :(
But again thank you for your effort to response ! :)
