delta 44 and protools free.

I finally stepped up to the plate and bought a P4 2.4Ghz, 512mb,
delta44, audiobuddys, loaded 98se as per compatibility for pro tools free. I can't get 4 tracks in protools. I can using cool edit so I know that it is a config issue with PT. I use the pan functions of the delta control panel and then pan tracks correspondingly in cool edit and get the 4 distinct tracks. I am completely new to protools and wondering what I'm missing in the routing or maybe in the mixer channel setup. Can someone turn on my light bulb for me?

In my opinion, building a PC for PT Free isn't a great idea, since its such a buggy program. There's not alot people can tell you to get it to work with PT Free. Usually, you either get lucky, and it works, or you don't, and it doesn't
