delta 44 and playing guitar real-time?

I'm just wondering, can I use the Delta 44 soundcard, and directly plug-in my guitar to just play?

Can I play my guitar directly through soundcards and out of the speakers without any delay? Also are there any problems with electric guitar and delta 44?

I want to be able to use plug-ins like Amplitube and directly plug in my guitar to the delta 44, then hear the sounds of amplitube directly and in Real time as I pluck my strings, without any delay or problems. Is this possible with delta 44?
 
The Delta 44 break out box has no preamps built in, so you'll need a mixer or a preamp unit to directly record. I've had the Delta 44 for years now and it's never let me down once.

yes, but can I just play in real-time as if the soundcard is my amp?
 
Yes.
There will be some latency of course - but it's not really noticable.

You will need a mixer or preamp as mentioned above though.
