Here ya go:
Get the latest drivers from m-audio and install them.
Delta Control Panel Setup:
DMA Buffer Size: 128 samples (either 128 or 256 is good)
Codec Sample Rate: 44,100; Reset Rate when idle
n-Track Setup:
1) Preferences->Wave Devices: CHoose WDM:
M-Audio Delta44 Multichannel for both input and output.
2) Preferences->Buffering: I use 0.061 for recording and 0.057 for playback. This seems optimal on my system for 24+ tracks.
3) Preferences->Sampling Frequency: 44,100. Using 96 is a drag and 48 makes little sense.
4) Preferences->Options: Program Priority: high, High Priority DSP Thread.
5) Under Preferences->Appearance, I usually turn off most of the fancy crap.
6) Ok, now open up the Recording VU meter if you haven't already done so. You should see 3 sets of stereo VU meters (or a total of 6). Only the first two actually count, the last set I think is because n-Track is seeing the SPDIF that doesn't exist (e.g. the Delta66).
7) Under each pair of VU meters should see some buttons: Monitor, rec, and Settings. Under settings for each pair of channels, specify 24 unpacked left justified. Also specify Stereo->two mono tracks if you want to treat each input as its own independent channel. Otherwise, choose stereo to record a single stereo wave file from the input pair. For "enable live input", i usually don't check it....live input in n-Track is iffy.
8) The "rec" button under each pair of meters specifies where you want your stuff to go. If you're recording Stereo->two mono, then choose rec-> new, new. To just record from the left side of input #1, choose rec->left->record to a new track, and choose rec->right->disable. You will also have to disable the other channels because they will be enabled by default (even that phantom 3rd pair).
9) Bring up the playback VU meter. Click settings and choose 24bit Unpacked Left Justified, and Stereo for both pair of outputs.
10) If you have a problem where aux returns are going to outputs 3&4 during mixdown (e.g. you're missing the effects in your mixdowns), then try this trick: Go to Preferences->Wave Devices->Advanced, and under WDM/ASIO Multichannel, limit the number of output channels to 2. You can still do routing via the delta control panel.
This is my current setup for n-Track, and I obviously work in 24bit 44Khz. Projects usually go into the 24 track range, with 10 or more DX effects (a few high quality and several low quality). My system is an 800Mhz Celeron, 256MB, Geforce4, 7200RPM Maxtors, S3 Trio (secondary video), 3Com Ethernet, Delta1010 (same exact drivers, I upgraded from a Delta44 actually), SB Live!, Windows 2000 SP2.

P.S., this maybe should've gone in the n-Track forum.
