How do you think this card will look in a patch panel ???

Gidge,

I can't believe "Gidge" is answering my question, I feel important, OOPS I meant a patch bay.....

Like a pretty good idea, actually. I need to get me one of those patch "panels."

well the 1010lt is just a pci card so cant cant put the card itself in a patchbay...you can hook it up to a patchbay and that would be an excellent idea to solve the problem of lack of a breakout box....

ive been looking at the 1010lt myself and since ill have my preamps on the rack all hooked up, lack of a breakout box wont be an issue for me....

as far a a Audiophile and DMP3 vs 1010lt, id have to go with the 1010lt myself....the preamps in it are based on DMP2 technology so thats pretty good, plus you get all the extra inputs, wordclock inputs, etc......i wish the 1010lt would have been out when i bought my Audiophile:mad:

Thanks, Gidge

Will it make a big difference in sound qualities since the I/O are unbalanced on the 1010LT??

not if you use as short cable runs that you possibly can and use the best quality cables you can......

i just cant see where someone can go wrong with a 1010lt for $329...unless you plan on recording PRO CD's in which case you will want to take advantage of every little feature you can (converters on breakout box, 1/4" balanced connectors,etc)....
