basically it has 10 ins and 10 outs??
can any1 get me links to what the delta can do and things like that.

i read somewhere that it was 16 i/o analog
and i noticed that the ins are RCA do i have to get a special cable for that too (like 1/4 jack from the pre and RCA to the ins of the 1010)

and what does the white and red colored mean....(stereo left and right)

thanks

the Delta 1010 and the Delta 1010lt are different the 1010lt has the rca imputs and outpus and the 1010 has the 1/4 jacks on a seperate rackmount box. the 1010lt is 219.99 at www.americanmusical.com and the 1010 is $449.99 at the same website.

the 1010lt has 6 analog rca and 2 xlr inputs. the xlrs have a switch that can change them to line level so they are the same as the other 6 inputs. theres no "special" cables involved. you can get 1/4 to rca cables at any music store pretty much. i'm not sure on the color coding.

thanks that helped...
ist just the color thing makes me go....maybe its not 10 ins and outs
cause left and right....for each red and wwhite (i think is one in)

and its cheaper than the delta 44....maybe because the 44 has the box?

but heres how im thinkin of using the 1010lt

computer

delta 1010lt

8 in/out preamp

instruments

would that work perfectly

oh and the software would be cool edit pro

seems like that would be cool. Man i have a delta 1010 and let me tell you
its really cool. The lt gives about the same i guess... bit it really nice to have the 1/4 ins and outs and a box. I personally like m-audios products. Im still a newb so maybe thats why but I have their DMP3 and their delta 1010 and id like to get bx5s. They seem to be really solid and just good pieces of gear.

as far as you setup diagram there. Looks like that would work as long as you were able to get the outs from the pre into RCA which isnt hard at all.

good luck

any1 to help me please?

You could actually get away with just 6 preamps, as the 1010lt comes with 2 pres built in. No phantom power though, so only useful on dyanmic mics, or condensors with batteries

thanks.....so that cable 1/4 and RCA would work into my comp?

i have 2 and they work well together. i am happy with my 1010lt's.... I use an A&H Mixwizard 16:2DX for the front end, feeding the 2 1010lt's....

Jeez guys, you really need to learn some grammar, syntax and spelling.

I know you're are only 14, but I mean, really? It's no excuse.

MAybe I'm confused here. But why would you buy the 1010lt. You said you'd get a 8 in 8 out preamp. But I've never seen a preamp (or for that matter any serious recording equipment with the exception of tape in on mixers) that used RCA. You would need to put adapters on all your cables, and that would loose a lot of sound quality. Maybe I'm missing something , but that doesn't make much sense to me.

But I also have to say I love the delta soundcards. I had a 66 for a while and loved it. Sounded good, was simple to use. Great bargain.
