Hello,

my first post here, so first off, "hi!"

Now I know this subject has been covered over and over again, but I'm wondering if there is ANYTHING else I can do to solve this? I have the constant snap-crackle-pop from the 1010 from the minute the PC boots up....no audio apps need to be in use. I've gone down M-Audio's checklist of things to check....I've disabled anything that I don't use to free up resources, raised the buffer setting, moved the PCI card to every available PCI slot in my PC, nothing's worked :(

I'm using Windows XP, and after trying 4 seperate PCI slots, I was only able to get the 1010 on it's own IRQ on the slot it's currently in....all others paired it up with something else. However, on the slot it's in now, it's IRQ assignment is 22, and of course anything past 16 is only a "virtual" IRQ anyways.

Could this be the problem...and if so, how can I possibly get it on a lower IRQ when I've already tried all 4 PCI slots? Could it still be something else I haven't tried??

Any help would of course be greatly appreciated...

Have you downloaded the latest drivers from M-Audios site?
My 1010lt works best in the 1st pci slot with IRQ 9.
Hope you solve yer' problem - aboo

Ditto on the downloading drivers comment. It is very important you use the drivers compatible with WIN XP. I can't comment on the virtual IRQ.
