Here is my list of gear first:
1 Delta 1010
1 ART Pro MPA Dual Mic Preamp
1 ART TPS Dual Mic Preamp
1 Line 6 POD
2 Oktava MK012's
1 Shure BETA52
1 SM 57
1 AT 4033
I am interested in getting a hardware controller for my DAW. So i was looking at digital mixers because not only can they control my DAW but i can use them for mic preamps. So, my question is...would it be better quality to buy a RME Hammerfall Digi9652 card and then a Soundcraft 328 Digital Mixer and have the outputs and inputs going through the optical connections on the Hammerfall, or is what i have right now at par with that setup. I am talking about A/D conversion with the 328, is that better than the Delta 1010? Are the preamps in the Soundcraft 328 better than what i have now? Would there be any downside to this setup, or any added advantage that i am missing. Thanks for your help.
