Hello people,

This post really is just to see who out there uses the M Audio Delta 1010 soundcard and a Mackie 1402 VLZ mixer (or a mackie desk such like as that one).

Why? well, i have these and they wont work!! So if someone uses the same set up, hopefully they would kindly explain how its set up.

Im on the last straw, if i cant get it working in the next week im afraid this is the end of my recording days, and ill be selling all my gear on eBay :(

So please guys and gals help me out and make me happy :)

explain why they wont work? do you have them connected to each other? is the 1010 connected to the soundcard that should be connected in the computer? are you seeing any blinking lights anywhere? what software are you using on the computer? do you have speakers hooked up to the 1010?

ok ill explain how i have it set up.

I have my mac with my 1010 hooked up via PCI+breakout box. I am running an 8 way loom from the 8 outputs on the 1010 to 8 channels at the back of the desk. I am then running my monitor speakers (M Audio BX5) from the "Control Room" outputs on the desk via TRS cables. Everything is switched on, not muted, etc. But no sound... I plugged my monitors directly into the 1010 via outputs 1+2 and i had sound for about a minute in which it then broke up and started hissing and muffling. When its going through the desk and i check the soundcard signal, i can see theres signal running from channels 1+2 but theres just no sound...

Current settings for my soundcard are as follows:

Sample Rate: 44.1khz
Multitrack driver devices: Independent
Digital output format: Consumer

Dont know if thats any use, but just incase something is set incorrectly..

Any ideas?

Make sure the plugs in the insert/direct outs are only in to the first "click".

That is to say, not quite all the way in.

Gotta manual???

Success!!! Well, slightly i now have sound from my monitors, not very clear, but its sound at least. it seems to be very deep and plays for 3 seconds, stops for 3 seconds, plays for 3 seconds, stops etc etc.

Is this some kind of setting i have wrong somewhere?

Thanks for the help!! :D
