Hi,
I want to buy delta 1010 lt. Is there anybody who has experience with this sound card? I need more info about it.

Thanks

Welcome to the board.

- I assume you have checked M-audio's website (www.m-audio.com). Is there anything specific you want to know that you can't find on the site or in the manual?
- Have you tried the search option yet? The 1010LT has been discussed a lot in the past.

There are a lot of satisfied M-Audio users on this board, (including me). That should say something about the quality for the average homerecordist.

Another 1010lt user and totally satisfied with this soundcard.

I used a Gadgetlabs Wave 8/24 for 18 months, got sick and tired of the insistent crackling and popping, bought a Delta 1010lt and have never looked back........

Would the Delta 66, and Omni I/O combined be a good sound card solution? Better than the Delta 1010LT?

I'm planning on getting the Delta 1010LT, but I don't really want to be crawling under my computer desk to plug stuff into the sound card. I'm also interested in hearing about people that have this card, and any pros cons they can give!

The 1010LT will give you more inputs, although they are unbalanced (apart from the two XLR inputs). I have mine permanently hooked up to my desk so I dont have to go crawling around behind the computer. If I want to go into input one, I have it plugged into channel one on the mixer, etc etc. In this way I also have the onboard pre's turned off via the jumper on the card.

The 66 and 44 however have balanced inputs and breakout boxes. Still, makes not a lot of difference to me. I'd still rather have my 1010LT.

What do you need more, a breakout box or a higher number of inputs? Remember, a delta 66 has 4 analog inputs, so without adding an external A/D via S/PDIF, you can only record 4 tracks at once with it, vs 8 with the 1010Lt. What is your plan for preamps? Do you have a mixer with either direct channel outs or channel inserts?

Actually I'm still building a computer, and that's about it. I'm more of a newb than you thought ;)

I had been looking at buying the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card with the external box, but after hearing a lot of bad reviews I've changed my mind. Thing is, I really liked the external box, because it just seems to make everything easier. I was just wondering if there was a good quality sound card with a similar set up, but if not it's not that much of a biggie.

I don't have a mixer or anything, still working on finishing up my computer which should be soon. Hopefully I can get another raise at my job to speed this up a bit!
