delta 1010 and midi controllers

I have an mAudio 49e MIDI controller which has some noticeable latency with my HP pavilion and stock soundcard. Will a delta 1010 get rid of the latency?
 
Most likely it will, but it has more to do with the driver and the D/A converters than it does with the MIDI interface.
 
what program are you using....i have a noticeable latency in FL Studio but i dont have it in sonar.....I'm running a triton through a 1010
 
The Delta 1010 has mature WDM and ASIO drivers so the latency you describe should not be a problem. It probably will be (and is, I see from your other post) with the stock on-board chip in an HP Pavilion.
