hello,
i'm wondering what kind of alternatives there are to the 1010?
currently using a mackie 1604-VLZ (not Pro) and a delta 44.
mainly the reason for upgrading is the ability to do 8 tracks at once for drums and such.
so my requirements for a sound card are as follows:
- 8 analog inputs
- external, good quality convertors
- at least 2 outputs
i've read some problems with the delta 1010's wordclock and also phase reversal in anything but +4 mode.
what are some alternatives to the 1010?
OR, alternately...
are there any cheap-but-good pre's with built-in D/A convertors? i was looking at the digimax as being ideal, but it's out of my price range. anything else like this that's cheaper, and would be better than the mackie->1010 route?
thanks a lot
