Hi there,

I am a guitarist who is teaming up with some electronic folks (trance, lounge, ambient) ... and that is also the reason why I am looking into delay pedals.

My current top choice is the Boss DD-20 - mostly for its 23+ sec. of delay times.

Does anybody have any experiences with this unit? ... any other alternatives that seem to fit my bill?

thx in advance for looking into the matter!

Another alternative might be the Line6 DL4 delay modeller & loop sampler. It has, I believe, up to 28 seconds of delay, but honestly....are you REALLY ever going to need that much? It's approach is slightly different from the DD-20, in that it lets you easily save and immediately load up to 3 presets and then tap the tempo of any one of them. It emulates many different vintage and modern delays (and seems to do a decent job too), and has a 28 second loop sampler built in. A couple of weeks ago I had a problem with the tap tempo switch on my DL4 and had to go back to my Boss DD-6 (yes, a world of difference from the DD-20), and I felt like I was back in the stone age.
