delays recordings

When i record vocals i use an sm58 and connect it to the Mic in input... i record and listen to it... the problem is that it sounds not tight, a bit after, compared to the other instruments, i know i sang right when i recorded. ive gone throught the sång a million times...
What can the problem be here? any ways to fix it? quantize, but how?

choose global disable in the audio setup and monitor playback via an external mixer.

or...if you have a sound card with ASIO compaitible drivers, you can choose ASIO direct monitoring in the audio setup and that will eliminate latency.
