Default audio inputs

When recording Audio In Sonar 5, is there a way to make the default audio INPUT the same each time you insert an audio track? Right now, everytime I insert a new audio track I have to manually go in and select my FireWire's left channel. Is there a way to just make that the default selection?

I have a default system setup, when tracking drums first. 13 channels. Just set your i/o's, track names, whatever, on the tracks, save it. When you want a new session just bring up the default, and save as whatever. If someone has a better way, please enlighten me too.
