Deep mixing: when you could not mix bad even if you wanted to

Your theory is absolutely correct but I think it takes considerably longer than a week.

After YEARS of tracking and mixing an engineer can do a lot of stuff subconsciously.

yes, but one must wonder how many people will ever hear music on a highly linear reference system.



shortyc, I'll do the critical listening theory as soon as I can formulate it and find some relevant analogies.
 
i think CyanJaguar has a point, but it is not an absolute.

my reference CD's at the moment are:

Mos Def and De La Soul AOI part II bionix. I use these because my music has a similar vibe and i want to reach that level of professionalism.
