Hello all. I am in a 3 three "punk rock and roll" band. I currently play through my brothers Peavey Studio Pro 112. Its okay, volume wise its just about what Im looking for, and 300 american is my price range. But I honestly just dont like the amp. I was looking at the Line 6 Spider 2's, but learned and was told about staying away from integrated FX. I also played one, and wasnt impressed. I dont require that much in overdrive, i'd like to focus on getting my sound clean and clear and then worry about shaping a distortion. anyway...

Im looking for a 60-100 watt combo

not too huge or heavy

300 range american

currently considering a Fender, i really like my friends, and my local shop has a very large range and stock of fenders.

any suggestiongs?

thanks alot

Adam

Personally, I would suggest the Hughes and Kettner Blu 60 combo amp. It's 60 Watts, but carries a punch, and it's got a nice 12" Celestion. Being a tube guy, I was extremely impressed with the tone out of the solid state. It may be a little too heavy, but I would at least look into em. Cost is around $300-350.

the kustom quad series are pretty nice solid state amps, or even the peavey valveking comes in 1x12, 2x12 combos or head and they are pretty nice tube amps for the money they ask for them. INDEED!!
