Harvey's review was over a year ago, and my impression at the time was that the FOX hand held was an..... OK mic for live performance. Why is this comming up, seemingly all of a sudden?

I'm mean if you're looking for a fair live mic, great!
Thanks for the link and all, but it seems rather untimely.
 
Yeah, that's how the Fox struck me - an ok mic for live stuff, but the two MXL 1000s, that's a different story; when you unscrew the ball on those, you'll find an MXL 603 inside. Two of the 603s AND a Fox for $129 ain't a shabby deal.

yep, thats what i was getting at.......its hard to find 603's for less than $75 each these days......
