Not too bad, musically and in production. I won't be running out and buying the record, but it certainly demonstrates proficiency...

Now, the cymbals are the weakest part of the recording (real whispy, and too far back in the mix, probably because they have to be... if the current cymbals were brought up they would be annoying... basically, they're not crisp enough).

The snare sounds a bit compressed, no 'pop'/punch. The guitars and bass are much like I record/mix them, so I have no gripes there. :D

The vocals aren't prefectly recorded, but I can make them out and it doesn't sound like a mic recording (which is, of course, what we aim to try and avoid). The vocalist is struggling to hit the higher notes, they're out of his range (he just may not know/realize it yet). May need to write this in a lower key for him...

Anyway, those are my impressions, nice work.

This has a very "live" feel, which is kinda good and bad. Good because it has a lot of energy and sounds cohesive - as in, it sounds like everyone was in the same room and just played the song all the way through (dunno if this was actually the case but it *sounds* like it).

The bad part is that it's a little raw sounding, which may be what you're going for. But I think it could use some smoothing out of peaks here and there. The vocal's level I think needs to be a little more consistant. And the parts are all kind of blurring together to an extent. But I dunno, it kind of works like that to. Has a lot of charm.

I actually like the singing much. Good energy. I love that hoarse screaming at the end.

Heck, I kinda like it alright as it is. It has a little bit of an early 80s vibe to it. Making me nostalgic.

Cool.
