Death metal stuff.

I'm not sure if it's death metal, but it's some sort with growly vocals.

Anyway, I don't have a lot of time to type about it since I'm leaving for the day but I just wanted to throw this up and get some feedback for it.

The strangest thing is the vox in real life were whisper quiet. I had to crank up the gain of the pre ALL THE WAY UP just to get a tiny bit of signal.

Anyway:

 
Its not bad, I like the end much better with the slam riffs and blast beats.
I wouldnt really call it death metal, its more metalcore i would say.

Dosent matter what the genre is I still like the song.

Good mix Chris.

Nice panning on the guitars making them real easy to hear and distinguish the different riffs.

Songwriting is very good - lots of change ups and variety. And tempo changes ;) Playing is great - very pro.

Vocals came through amazingly good considering the high gain you needed. Not getting a lot of noise from that as you might expect.

Overall good metal (whatever kind you call it) and a really good mix.
 
I'm listening at work but I'll try to review it anyway.

I disregarded the song itself because I don't like it so much.

#1 thing I noticed is everything has breathing room and can be heard fine.

#2 I can tell the vocals were quietly recorded (I do some vocals). Kudos to you for pulling that off so well.

#3 There really isn't anything to complain about. Good shit!

Thanks for listening. It's not really my kinda music either (however I always get into everything I record, I can't resist when listening to it 200 times! haha) but the guitarists were both really good.
 
Metal mix.

Trying one more time. Maybe the 'death metal' title threw some people off. I have a finished mix I'm giving to the band below, let me know what you think.




I'm interested in comments on the mixing and such, not the song. :)
 
good mix man. only suggest is to lower the cymbals a bit, and raise the guitar a bit also. prehaps eq the guitars to hear a little bit of the higher frequencies. thats all I can hear, great f'n job.
 
Just wanted to bump this one more time for this. Someone left me a comment:

Umm. I'd like to say I don't even know what the fuck you're talking about and I'm pretty sure I didn't act "tough guy" once in this thread. So... Yeah.
