Death Metal!!! New Song!!!

My latest and greatest (LOL) home recorded death metal song Grinding Your Guts has been recored, mixes and masterd all in my bedroom. Check out the song here:

I would love opinions on Grinding Your Guts good or bad (hey metalhead, I used your idea for that part I posted, I like how it came out, what do you think?). This song is a bit slower than most of my songs but I think it works and has a cool old-school death metal feel to it.


Info on the recording:

4 guitar tracks 1 80% left, 1 80% right, 1 100% left , 1 100% right
1 bass track centered
1 drum machine track centered
1 main vocal track with some 2nd track fill-ins

The guitars are all done with my V-Amp Pro. 2 tracks with the Off-Axis Cabinet and 2 tracks with the Vintage 78 Cabinet. I also used the V-Amp Pro to record the bass track as well.

Any and all comments are more than welcome good and/or bad. Any questions please ask.

It's Heavy. The mix is pretty good as far as I can tell. The guitars sound good.
Dums seem to match up good maybe a hair quiet same for the bass. I think it's more a matter of the guitars being a hair loud. Take your pick? all comes out the same.
I'm not a deathmetal guy so I can't comment too much.

Yeah, I can't comment much on the music, but the drums are a little low. Well, the snare and cymbals are anyway. That crazy 'double-bass' is okay where it is. Maybe could use more low end punch. The guitars sound great, and I guess the vocals are pretty good too. Very heavy. I think I'll go kill my dogs now. :p

Thanks for the comments. I have been tweaking the drums up and down and just can not find a happy spot for them...Maybe a few days of not listening to it and then go back to it...LOL

No, please don't...I love dogs.....LOL

I think the cymbals are a bit low as well and have been messing with them along with the other drums. A work in progress.

thinking about it a bit more I'd drop the guitars around the rest of the mix to start. I'm sure you'll have a bit of tweeking to do then. Don't get crazy:)

Thanks for the help with the drums dude!!! That was something I never would have thought of myself!!! That is the problem with a one man band, no other opinions!!!

The vocals are deeeeeeeeeep. Haha, very nice song. Heavy and slow.

Yeah dude, go here: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=481840 and check out my other 7 songs. You can listen to them all. Most have a good amount of fast parts as well. This was a slower song that I wanted to see if I could write and record!

Cool tune, Blood....I like the start/stop style here...let's the guitar ring out. Nice tone, and good drum programming. Vocals are cool....really fit this. Makes me hoarse just listening..... :D

Nice double kick. Cymbals seem a bit quiet at times, compared to other tunes like this. But guitars and vocals stand out well.... :cool:

LOL...yup...The vocals on Devastation Death were done by my Mother. She came to visit me for a few days a couple months ago and she wanted to sing on a song. It is only 51 seconds but it was fun!!!

Thanks allot Dogman! Your the cymbals might need to come up just a bit. I still have a little bit of tweaking left to do but not much. This was a fun song to record. Thanks for listening and commenting!!!

sounds pretty good to me - not a bad mix the only thing that i would change is bring the drums up a bit they sound pretty low...
