Hi,

I have an acoustic guitar with Dean Markley pickup. I want to record direct to my DAW. Is Audio Buddy the right tool for this?

Thank you guys, More coffe please.

It's about three times as expensive as the Audio Buddy?

A simple direct box should work. I think most everyone would agree that you will get a better acoustic sound micing with some small condenser microphones. If money is an issue, then go for a ecm8000 for $35, i did and haven't looked back since. Great mic for alot of applications. And you can use the audio buddy to power that mic too, best of both worlds.

good luck,
Brandon

I plug my Dean Markley to my behringer mx802 line input and get to weak signal and lot of noise. Do I get better results with Audio Buddy? Is this a matter of impedance? Someone please explain.

P.s. I intend to get behringer b-1 for vocals and my acoustic. But I'd like to play my guitar amplified from time to time "direct" with multieffects and trhough my reference monitors.

you shouldnt get a weak signal from the Behringer unless you have something set wrong plugged in the wrong place or the pickup just isnt putting out or a bad cable....also the Behringer isnt the cleanest pre, but you shouldnt get that much noise.....

please describe your complete chain.....

i think the Audio Buddy is cleaner than the Behringer, but you should try to solve your immediate problems before you make a move...
