ok, i'm about to build a new daw and this time i'm going 100% intel. someone (brzillian i think) mentioned that there is nothing more stable than intel mobo/proc combination for daw and after a year of swearing at my AMD rig i'm going to give it a shot.
So.....now that intel has a ddr333 chipset out does anyone know if intel ddr333 (845PE chipset i think)offers a significant DAW performance gain over ddr266(845E)? I'm mainly concerned about plugin performance. i like to run a lot of real time effects. i also have kontakt, which is a memory based sampler.
