My Alesis micron came in and it was missing the power supply (which I knew.) I called radio shack, told them what I needed, and they told me to come in and pick it up. I should have checked it but I didn't. The Micron requires 9V 1.5A of AC power. The adapter was DC. It powered on, but produced nothing but a high pitched noise. I know this is likely due to the wrong power supply. My question is, did I fry my synth? It still powers on, so I don't think so, but I can't find anything on what happens if you plug DC into something that requires AC. (Apparantly doing the opposite will fry it pretty quickly.) Thanks for any help. (BTW I'm ordering the "official" power supply from Alesis today.)
Thanks again.
