There is very little in terms of reviews on these DB Technologies opera live speakers. I did hear that RCF also make these speakers.

Is anyone familier with thease?

I have a RCF 310A which is excellent.

But i like the idea of having a 12'inch LF driver.

You might get better answers out of the mixing forum...

Is there a live equipment forum here...?

never heard of them... are they brit hi-fi???

Live sound -- They used to make some "full range array" type stuff - Not for a while if I recall...

I believe they are an Italian company the same company that make the RCF brand of speakers.

From the DB technologoes website:

"RCF and A.E.B. (dBTechnologies) conquer Milano Stock Exchange
Since the end of July 2007, RCF S.p.a. and A.E.B. Industriale (manufacturer of the brand dBTechnologies ) are joined together as a holding under the name of “RCF Group”, at the Milano Stock exchange."

RCF and DB technologies are both Italian

I can't coment on the Opera 402, but I have a pair of Opera 405 which I find highly satisfactory.

Thanks gecko.

I understand some of my performer friends had the DB tech mobile 50 and the mibile 110 and they have had probelms & have had to take them back to the shop. ( they are the ones that have a battery inside that you can recharge)

But gecko i guess you have not had that problem as you are very happy with yours.

I can't comment on the portable stuff . . . but I have a dim view of any battery-powered gear like that.

However, I am entirely happy with the 405s and the sub15.

Even though DB tech is now own by the same conglomerate as RCF, I've used RCF before and not liked them all that much (however, that is personal taste; I also don't like the Mackie SRM 450s).

I see what you mean though my RCF 310-A active sounds great on the floor slighly titled upwards , when put on a pole stand it sounds quite thin.
You have inspiered me I may eventually invest in a $02 or 405'

Hi Gecko

A local PA store do have the DB opera 212 which they say is 250 watt rms.

Are the 212's also good?
