DAW/software/sound card/ control surface options

Hi,
Im about to build a dedicated DAW, and am looking into options as far as software, sound cards, and control surfaces as a whole

I have a Delta 1010 that may be implemented into my new setup, but is not a necessity.

Id like to find a control surface that has dedicated buttons for every function, and or find a company that produces keyboards that are label for a particular software's shortcuts.

Im really open to any combination of software/hardware. Really what im looking for is compatibility, ease of use, and in your face total control.

I hope you can understand what Im trying to type...

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Anyone using the Tascam FW-1884? If so, what software are you using?

how miuch cash did you want to spend?

i would save some money and use the delta1010 you already have. put that saved money towards a mackie control universal, they look pretty sweet. the tascam you mentioned has gotten some pretty decent reviews as well
